SVP Nonprofit Corporate Partnerships

Do you have a private sector head and a public-sector heart? We are searching for our client who is seeking a creative, entrepreneurial individual to lead its Partnership team. The position develops and executes award-winning campaigns with corporations involving cause marketing efforts, employee engagement, local events, and public-facing activations. This individual will focus on relationship building, program oversight/execution, and leading a fast-paced, high-energy team. 


  • Develop and oversee entrepreneurial revenue campaigns with corporate partners. This includes cause-marketing efforts, employee engagement opportunities, public activations, and related social promotions and media activities.  
  • Identify and land new corporate funding opportunities. Grow and expand relationships with existing corporate supporters. 
  • Lead cross-functional collaborations with internal teams including Marketing Communications, Network Engagement, E-Commerce, Operations, IT, and Finance.
  • Oversee two internal teams—one managing existing corporate partners and one reaching out to new corporate partners. This includes overseeing corporate campaign implementation and professional development of staff. 
  • Represent the organization to external partners and funders. This includes both formal and informal presentations, attending conferences and other meetings as necessary.
  • Meet annual financial goals as determined by the Executive Team.
  • Undertake innovative special projects, as directed.

Education and/or Experience  

  • BA/BS required. MBA or other Masters in a related field preferred.
  • At least ten years of experience leading the types of efforts described above. This experience could be leading fundraising efforts at another social change organization. Alternatively, a compelling candidate might have led private sector or foundation funding efforts from the other side of the table. We may also consider candidates who have led large and innovative projects in another context who are able to deliver on the objectives described above.
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial skills. Must be a tenacious self-starter. 
  • Exceptional writing and presentation skills. Must be able to produce creative written content and presentations quickly and under time pressure. 
  • Demonstrated record raising funds in innovative and creative ways. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to spark, cultivate, and grow relationship with corporate leaders. Must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Keen organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Ability to represent the orginization in a variety of settings. Some travel required.

Chief Information Security Officer


Reporting to the CEO, the CISO will play a key role on the company’s executive team.  As the head of IT security the role drives IT security strategy and implementation forward while protecting the business from security threats and cyber-hacking. Operational compliance to all ISO and other standards and regulations is the responsibility of the CISO.  The CISO must communicate the vision and plan to all constituencies with the goal of ensuring positive engagement and results.


  • Managing the daily operation and implementation of the IT security strategy
  • Conducting a continuous assessment of current IT security practices and systems and identifying areas for improvement
  • Running security audits and risk assessments
  • Delivering new security technology approaches and implementing next generation solutions
  • Overseeing the management of the IT security department, giving leadership to the team and developing staff
  • Ensuring compliance and governance is met
  • Driving change projects and building new IT capabilities
  • Developing and implementing business continuity plans to ensure service is continuous when a change program is introduced or a security breach occurs or in the event that the disaster recovery plan needs to be triggered

  • Education: Preference for bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant professional experience with a master’s in business administration preferred.
  • 10+ years proven IT security experience
  • Change management and business process experience is ideal together with a proven track record of driving large-scale change programs

Senior Vice President Information Technology


Reporting to the COO, the SVP of Technology will play a key role on the company’s Senior Management Team, insuring that both the technology strategy and the technology architecture are appropriately aligned to and in support of the company’s core technology-driven business strategies and mission.  This is a critical time of rapid growth and expansion for the company.  The SVP must have hands-on experience in leading and managing the development and scaling of mission-critical web-based technical architectures and the processes that support them as well as driving innovation, especially for future products and enhancements to customer experience.  The SVP must communicate the technology vision and plan to all constituencies with the goal of ensuring positive engagement and results.

This exciting position reports to the SVP Technology and is focused on leading and managing the day-to-day operation of the IT team and communicating with business stakeholders throughout the organization.  The ideal candidate has substantial experience developing software in her or his past and recent software development management.  Experience working with either eCommerce system(s) or Salesforce is a requirement – both is a benefit.   The client provides an excellent, collaborative working environment with strong mission focus and excellent benefits.


  • Serve as the IT Lead for strategic roadmap IT projects 
  • Establish and maintain relationship with internal stakeholders – both IT and “in the business”, ensuring that the IT organization understands mission priorities and is meeting business needs
  • Create metrics for all critical processes and managing the IT organization through use of these metrics, providing complete transparency and open communication to all internal staff members and associates
  • Provide effective guidance to IT team members in the successful completion of projects, ensuring that IT deliverables are completed within established timelines and within budget  
  • Assist in selecting vendors used in the development and support of IT application portfolio and manage third party vendors’ cost, schedule and quality performance 
  • Help enable the organization to transform to the new service platforms. General approach is to leverage strengths of cloud computing platforms and SaaS platforms to organization advantage
  • Actively support applications development using SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle). Projects are done using traditional water fall model and agile methodologies
  • Proficient in Scrum with ability to lead Scrum teams in delivery of IT projects
  • Be aligned with advancements in digital publishing and create pilot projects within the organization to prototype forward looking projects
  • Participate in leading forums for digital book publishing and engage actively in open source technology platforms
  • Working in tandem with Senior Vice President of IT, create organizational IT plan and policies


  • College degree, preferably engineering or B.S. in technology or demonstrable equivalent
  • A minimum of 10 years of Information Technology experience
  • 2-4 years recent experience managing eCommerce systems and/or customized Salesforce deployments
    • Magento experience a significant bonus
  • 5 years experience managing complex cross-functional team members
  • Strong understanding of software development and maintenance lifecycle
  • Experience building highly interactive, highly trafficked, database driven web applications
  • Experience with most of the following technologies: PHP, Apex, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, MySQL, LAMP
  • Exposure to digital media and publishing industry is desirable
  • Atlassian tools experience is a bonus
  • PMP certification is a bonus
